Other Reservable Spaces

Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum

Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum opened in 1969 and is best known as the former home of the Auburn men’s and women’s basketball teams. When the Auburn Arena opened in 2010, the Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum was converted to a multi-purpose space.

Coliseum Floor & Lower Bowl

The Coliseum Floor and Lower Bowl have a total capacity of 4,500 with a maximum capacity of 1,000 on the floor and 3,500 in the lower bowl. Seating in the upper bowl is prohibited.

Room 1081 & Scholarship Room

Room 1081 and the Scholarship Room are right off the main coliseum floor and can be used together or separately. The spaces are often used for meetings or meals. Audio-Visual support is not present in the space but can be brought in by clients.

Promotional Spaces

Student Center Reservations offers three mediums to promote non-commercial advertising to the campus community: Banner Poles, Digital Signage, and Bulletin Boards. All promotional spaces are reserved for 2 weeks at a time but can be extended on a case-by-case basis. To reserve promotional spaces, please complete the online request form.

Banner Poles

There are reservable Banner Spaces across campus: outside the Melton Student Center near the Transit Stops, along the Haley Concourse, and along the Thach Concourse outside Foy Hall. The poles outside the Melton Student Center are held for event-specific banners, while departmental and organizational banners can be displayed on the Haley and Thach Concourses in addition to event-specific banners.

Banners Should:

    • Be 4 x 4 feet (48 by 48 inches).
    • Be made of vinyl with all 4 sides heat welded. Grommets should be installed every 2-3 feet along sides of banner.
    • Have the name of the registered student organization or campus department printed on the banner.

Bulletin Boards

Bulletin Boards promoting campus events and departments can be found across campus. Organizations and Departments can request for Melton Student Center staff to hang posters promoting events and/or individual organizations and departments on their behalf. There is no charge for staff hanging posters.

Posters & Flyers Should:

    • Be NO LARGER than 11×17 inches
    • Have the name of the registered student organization or campus department printed on the poster.

Digital Signage

Television screens promoting campus events and departments are located throughout the Melton Student Center. Organizations and Departments can reserve digital signage space to promote events and/or individual organizations and departments.

Digital Signage Should:

    • Be in landscape layout
    • Be in a PNG or JPEG format
    • Have a 16:9 aspect ratio
    • Have a 1920 x 1080 resolution
    • Have the name of the registered student organization or campus department printed on the slide.

Haley Center Classrooms

Each semester, Student Center Reservations has a limited number of Haley Center classrooms available for reservations. Haley Center classrooms are available for reservations Monday-Thursday after 5 pm. Haley Center classrooms are available for campus organizations only.
